Poulshot Village
With help from the Partnership, Poulshot is taking forward 2 projects in the village.
The Pond
The issue of refurbishing the historical ponds in Poulshot has been going on for years. Since there are Great Crested Newts in the ponds, a cleaning up project requires that the Wildlife Trust be involved. Tim Jalland and Tim Coleman went in search of some great crested newts in one of the ponds on the green. They found and caught some to prove it and are now looking into the funding for refurbishment of that pond and two others in the village.

The Great Tree Project
The Great Tree Project is a result of Poulshot being a village of trees which was sadly spoiled back in the 70s due to Dutch Elm Disease. Since then there have been other projects to reintroduce trees. However, there is a desire to expand the process by initiating a programme of planting large native species, especially oak, Ash and large leaved lime trees into the hedgerows, especially those that boarder lanes and bye-ways and some roadsides within the parish boundary.
