Did you know ...

The Melksham Community Area has a population of 24,000.

Let's make a difference

Welcome to the website of your Melksham Community Area Partnership.

We are your independent voluntary voice of the community and we are here to make sure you and your concerns are addressed.

We do this by finding out what is important to you and making sure that people who make decisions know about it.

Here is our Annual Report for 2012/13 Melksham Community Area Partnership Annual Report

We consult regularly, and collate the results into the Melksham Area Community Action Plan, which outlines current priorities in the Melksham Area.

The Melksham Community Action Plan is a living document which is updated regularly. The latest version is available from the Partnership Officer.

Groups, individuals and service providers can then see what the particular needs of our community are and tailor their projects/services/investment accordingly.

We also work closely with the Melksham Area Board, our local arm of Wiltshire Council, to ensure that their work and investment is focused where local people need it most.

Lastly, we welcome volunteers to help in the many projects going on, with diverse roles from sticking up a poster to co-ordinating a working group. Please see the volunteer opportunity tab on the left to see how you can get involved.

Everyone who works, lives or has a genuine interest in the Melksham Community Area is considered a member and the parishes included are shown above.

For more information or to get involved in any of the actions in the Community Action Plan, contact our co-ordinator Phil McMullen at phil@melksham.communityarea.org.uk, or drop in to Well House Manor, 48 Spa Road, Melksham most afternoons. Alternatively you can leave a message on 01225 706134, or send a text message to Phil at 0771 875 0928.

Even if you think you have only a small amount of time/energy/creativity to contribute, the benefit to you and your community can be enormous.
